We have been asked to produce this structure for a local company.
Its role will be to sit on top of a high rise building in London, protecting openings in the roof where the communications cabling enters. This project has had to be engineered to withstand up to 100 mph winds and to have a surface that does not produce glare that could distract people in other surrounding buildings.
The galvanised metal mounting inserts have been installed in such a way that they have not had to be drilled to be secured to this structure, thus eliminating the possibility of rusting at the potential mounting points. This plenum is approx 2.5M long, 1.2M wide and 800mm high. We have built this structure from engineering drawings supplied to us by our customer. It is made using heat resistant resin that conforms to class 1 requirements.
This has now been installed at site. Our customer has said the following :-
“The Plenum you have built for us is excellent. It fitted like a glove and looks the part. Our principle building contractors are very impressed with the quality. Many thanks for all your input, it will be a pleasure to work with you again when the need arises”
