Our Projects

The projects on this page are our own and may take time to complete as they cannot be prioritised over customers' cars. Hopefully the projects here will be more unusual as I’ll have a free hand for design and flair.

One of my roles in The Quantum Owners Club is being Chairman of QMOPS. (Quantum Mark One Preservation Society) Currently as a club we are restoring the oldest surviving Quantum Kit Car. However the front of that car is so badly damaged, I need to take a mould off my car to repair the club car. The next few pictures detail a very poor repair from some years ago on my car, before I owned it. I spotted this as the front was not quite in shape, so I decided with the QMOPS team, to remove the paint. On discovering the damage, I have had to grind back, remove the delamination and will now rebuild the area properly, before it can be painted and moulded thus allowing me to repair the clubs car. My thanks go to the QMOPS team who have helped so far.

The following project is the back end of a Quantum Coupe that is going to be used to re design the rear lights of this type of car. Once the re style is done, this section will be altered to become a garden seat.

It has been good to return to this project once again.

The boot lid that has been re designed to use different lights, is now in the paint shop prior to going through the moulding process. Once this has been done, the new recesses for the lights can then be transferred to this rear section. For the moment though, repairs are being completed to the damaged areas. Now having obtained comfortable seating from a caravan that can be used for this project, it will now be turned into a sofa, rather than a garden seat. Hopefully I will reveal this on the Quantum Owners Club stand at Stoneleigh Kit Car show in 2012.
