This is the bonnet from a Ford GT40 replica kit car.
The bonnet came off the car at speed after the quick release fasteners had not been correctly locked down. The damage was extensive, front right corner missing, right side vent recess 50% broken away from the top surface and the gel coat worn away from the center top section from skidding down the tarmac. Added to this, I found that the underside had been painted in household gloss white paint that had to be removed before the repairs could be started.
